• Quick format after each file dump or empty card – This will provide more consistant performance during use. Ensure you only use the “Quick Format” option.
• Try to fill drive to less than 750GB. – This will substantially increase drive longevity, reduce drive errors, provide higher sustained read and write speeds, better heat managment and lower power draw.

CinePro™ uses dynamic caching to maximize performance, allowing the drive to operate at up to 2,300MB/s with low power consumption up to approximately 500GB. Beyond this point, more aggressive TLC flushing begins, gradually reducing write speeds until the drive transitions to direct TLC writing (“folding”) The dynamic cache remains active and will continue to rebuild even beyond 500GB as space becomes available.

Cache rebuilding occurs at internal speeds ranging from 250MB/s to 900MB/s, depending on system load and thermal conditions. Once rebuilt, the refreshed cache enables renewed bursts of full-speed write performance. Instead of over provisioning the drive, allowing for Sustained 2,000MB/s Write, as many other high performance drive do, we opted to allow the full use of the Nand flash. If you wish to prioritise drive performance, you can erase and partiton your drive to 500GB or use NVMe Namespace Overprovisioning for optimal results.
